![]() ![]() ![]() Further in the round, he says “you couldn’t get down with me with Rick Ross trainer” (referencing Ross slimming down) kinda slick. Let’s begin shall we? After his first big crowd reaction with his punchline… “I’ll box 5 and you ain’t go to pay little Ceasars” (which was just ok) he followed that with “Digornio/ did y’all know (a slight reach), he can walk amongst the Tomb Stones? Tonight home *slice*… (A movie starring Liam Neeson, and the Brand of another pizza company) thus continuing the pizza references. This round was manufactured with greatness. Lux had some beautifully hidden ‘Trap doors’ Clips wasn’t supposed to see coming, and the crowd didn’t (and couldn’t) catch them all live. ![]() There were many hidden gems buried within the ‘Filler’. Just as many people that say Clips won 3 -0, there will be just as many that say Lux won 3-0…Instead of determining who won the entire battle, I want to examine closely Lux’ 1st round only for now. Lux Vs Clips….it seems there are many different opinions as to who actually won…but who really won? Battle rap is so subjective there may NEVER BE A CLEAR WINNER. Danny Myers only tackled rounds 1 & 3 and left it to the fans to decipher round 2 for themselves. After all, it’s pretty rare to see battle rappers talk about battles other than their own. It was brilliantly done and of course very interesting to have his battler/MC/lyricist perspective. ![]() Charlie Clips 2-1.Danny Myers recently broke down – for the fans on Facebook – a couple of rounds from the Loaded Lux vs. Charlie Clips came with his usual schemes and punchlines and he kept the crowd into it, plus that 3rd round when he spoke about Joe Buddens was the highlight of the battle, hilarious. The 1st round was Arsonal‘s best and I’ll give him 1st round, but he lost the 2nd and 3rd. Arsonal just rapped for tooooo damn long and accomplished nothing, if Arsonal had a bunch of personals and was going in like Loaded Lux was doing against Calicoe then it would’ve been all good, but it got to the point that he was just rambling on. I think Clips cut his 3rd round short because he forgot his rhymes but he did good before he finished and Charlie Clips went in on his first 2 rounds. As far as Charlie Clips, he definitely did his thing. I think Arsonal is a legend because of what he used to be but lately he’s been slacking and one thing about Arsonal is that he doesn’t gameplan or use angles, he just raps. The thing with Arsonal is that he’s not punchline oriented, he’s all bars and that’s hard to win live and that’s why Arsonal gets his wins mostly on camera and that’s why Arsonal is a hit in places like KOTD and Grindtime and very boring in URL and UW Battle League. He does great against Shotty Horroh and Illmaculate but mediocre against T-Rex and Math Hoffa. First off, I’m from Jersey, so if anything I’m rooting for Arsonal, I just think his performances are too up and down. Overall, the battle was boring but it wasn’t because of Charlie Clips, but because of Arsonal. ![]()
